Design of three flats on the unused atic of an historical building. Also presentation and rendering. Budapest, Hungary. Partners: Eng. Nicolás Rizo.
Fashion shop for men. The task was to create a very unique and exclusive shop, but also modern with a minimum of clothes shown (with a storage big enough to supply the merchandise once was taken from the sideboards and windows). The first shop given had a column in the center, so the first concept was to make the shop as clear, lighten and elegant as possible but that column was affecting these concepts.
Then, instead of just covering it with merchandise or typically with mirrors, I opted for integrating it to the walls, ceiling and floor; thus, a “line of light and glass” that goes all around the shop wraps it and gives it continuity on the floor and roof guiding also the customer trough one section of products to another. For other shops, the brand opted for having a standard set of furniture, on which the designs are based.
Club La Costa, Budapest, Hungary. Area: 90 m2 Completed in 2008 Interior design of a flat next To the Danube, in the surroundings of Budapest, Hungary, also presentations and rendering.
The keywords given by the client were “cozy, olive green and eggplant”. I had to design the kitchen furniture to connect it with an inconvenient column, creating a little reception space for jackets and shoes in winter, with plants around. This virtually gave importance to the dinning area. The flat is little, and I had to design a “transformable room” which can be open and be integrated to the living room, be a TV room, or be closed and used as a guests room.
In another room, quiet little but with great view facing to the river, the task was to design a furniture for a plasma TV and DVD set, that would not obstruct the visibility of the landscape nor the sun light. Thus the solution was a semi-frame around the window containing shelf, drawers and from which the screen shows up coming down or hides up at will.
Székesfehérvár, Hungary Area: 48m2 Completed in 2008. Interior design of a jeans shop, in a commercial center. Also presentations and renderings.
The idea is that the shop should be noticed by anyone who pass by. Like a light that doesn’t hurt the eye and geometric movements… That is the reason of the predominant white, the metallic elements, mirrors that creates infinite reflections and wider spaces, and a “chaotic” arrangement of ceiling neon lights together with expressive graphic designs all over the walls.
